Interesting

November 4, 2008 by Joe

So I went to vote today and noticed something rather interesting. On the Presidential portion of the ballot on my electronic voter screen all of the candidates were listed in alphabetical order, except for Barack Obama who was on the top of the list.

Wtf?

Federal Judge in Ohio declares park benches as valid addresses to vote

October 29, 2008 by Joe

This country has gone completely fucking insane.

Via the Columbus Dispatch:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A federal judge in Ohio has ruled that counties must allow homeless voters to list park benches and other locations that aren’t buildings as their addresses.

U.S. District Judge Edmund Sargus also ruled that provisional ballots can’t be invalidated because of poll worker errors.

Monday’s ruling resolved the final two pieces of a settlement between the Northeast Ohio Coalition for the Homeless and Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner.

The coalition agreed to drop a constitutional challenge to Ohio’s voter identification law until after the Nov. 4 election. In return, Brunner and the coalition agreed on procedures to verify provisional ballots across all Ohio counties.

The coalition was concerned that unequal treatment of provisional ballots would disenfranchise some voters.

What I want to know is how exactly does one get their mail delivered to them when their listed address is a park bench or a freeway overpass? I also want to know how exactly do you prove that you have lived in Ohio for at least 30 days, as is required by law before you can vote in an election in Ohio?

So homeless wino’s and crack heads can vote no problem, but many of the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces defending our freedom may not have their absentee ballots counted?

Jackass liberals say that they do all this stuff so certain segments of the population don’t get disenfranchised, meanwhile the only people being disenfranchised with all the rampant voter fraud perpetrated by the far left, is the few remaining people in this nation who still possess values such as common sense.

Ohio Government Computers Used To Investigate Joe The Plumber

October 25, 2008 by Joe

What the hell gives the Obama campaign and his lapdogs in the main stream media the right to turn the life of a man completely upside down and attempt to dig up dirt on him on their way to smearing him — just for asking a question of a man who is seeking our vote. A few short weeks ago Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher was just your average American working man, who dreams of one day being his own boss, who was outside playing catch with his son when Barack Obama strolled into his neighborhood campaigning.

Now because he asked Obama a question, and the answer Obama provided was a telling one on the candidates Marxist leaning economic beliefs — the Obama campaign and its minions in the media have turned the man’s life upside down.

From the Columbus Dispatch:

“State and local officials are investigating if state and law-enforcement computer systems were illegally accessed when they were tapped for personal information about “Joe the Plumber.”

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher became part of the national political lexicon Oct. 15 when Republican presidential candidate John McCain mentioned him frequently during his final debate with Democrat Barack Obama.

The 34-year-old from the Toledo suburb of Holland is held out by McCain as an example of an American who would be harmed by Obama’s tax proposals.

Public records requested by The Dispatch disclose that information on Wurzelbacher’s driver’s license or his sport-utility vehicle was pulled from the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles database three times shortly after the debate.

Information on Wurzelbacher was accessed by accounts assigned to the office of Ohio Attorney General Nancy H. Rogers, the Cuyahoga County Child Support Enforcement Agency and the Toledo Police Department.

It has not been determined who checked on Wurzelbacher, or why. Direct access to driver’s license and vehicle registration information from BMV computers is restricted to legitimate law enforcement and government business.

Paul Lindsay, Ohio spokesman for the McCain campaign, attempted to portray the inquiries as politically motivated. “It’s outrageous to see how quickly Barack Obama’s allies would abuse government power in an attempt to smear a private citizen who dared to ask a legitimate question,” he said.

If this is what happens to a regular, average citizen who asks a question of candidate Obama, I am scared as hell for the future of my country, when I think about what might happen to someone who questions President Obama.

Smokes For Votes

October 10, 2008 by Joe

Freddie Johnson: Baracking the vote for smokes

Freddie Johnson: Baracking the vote for smokes

You know, I love it when I have to read a New York City Newspaper for news on what is going on in my hometown. My local birdcage liner, the Plain Dealer certainly isn’t going to report on this because they themselves are nothing more then a liberal front group masquerading as a news source. They have for years now been the cheerleaders for the Democrat Party power structure in Cleveland that has pretty much ruined the city and Cuyahoga County.

But, I digress. This isn’t a post about Cleveland politics — at least not directly. It is a post about Barrack Obama’s favorite far left front group, I mean favorite group of Community Organizer’s, ACORN and the many ways they get out the youth vote — like giving them free cigarettes to register multiple times.

From the New York Post:

CLEVELAND - A man at the center of a voter-registration scandal told The Post yesterday he was given cash and cigarettes by aggressive ACORN activists in exchange for registering an astonishing 72 times, in apparent violation of Ohio laws.

“Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they’ll give me a dollar to sign up,” said Freddie Johnson, 19, who filled out 72 separate voter-registration cards over an 18-month period at the behest of the left-leaning Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.

“The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, ‘You are?’ I say, ‘Yup,’ and then they say, ‘Can you just sign up again?’ ” he said.

Johnson used the same information on all of his registration cards, and officials say they usually catch and toss out duplicate registrations. But the practice sparks fear that some multiple registrants could provide different information and vote more than once by absentee ballot.

ACORN is under investigation in Ohio and at least eight other states - including Missouri, where the FBI said it’s planning to look into potential voter fraud - for over-the-top efforts to get as many names as possible on the voter rolls regardless of whether a person is registered or eligible.

It’s even under investigation in Bridgeport, Conn., for allegedly registering a 7-year-old girl to vote, according to the State Elections Enforcement Commission.

Meanwhile, a federal judge yesterday ordered Ohio’s Secretary of State to verify the identity of newly registered voters by matching them with other government documents. The order was in response to a Republican lawsuit unrelated to the ACORN probe in Cuyahoga County, in which at least three people, including Johnson, have been subpoenaed.

Bribing citizens with gifts, property or anything of value is a fourth-degree felony in Ohio, punishable by up to 18 months in prison. And it’s a fifth-degree felony - punishable by 12 months in jail - for a person to pay “compensation on a fee-per-registration” system when signing up someone to vote.

Johnson, who works at a cellphone kiosk in downtown Cleveland, said he was a sitting duck for the signature hunters, but was always happy to help them out in exchange for a smoke or a little scratch. He’d collected 10 to 20 cigarettes and anywhere from $10 to $15, he said.

Scumbag Drug Dealer “Accidentally” Kills 75-year old retiree

July 1, 2008 by Joe

“Mr. Lewis wasn’t the target,” said Tasha Sweeney. “”We’re very sorry. We want to feel it was an accident. It wasn’t murder, it was an accident.”

Sister Renee Carson said of her brother, “We’re going to stick with him.” Carson said her brother didn’t intend to kill Lewis. “Our hearts go out to the family, but we can’t take it back.”

The above quotes come from the sisters of Eric Carson, 27, of Cleveland, who will henceforth in this post be referred to by the much more suitable name of scumbag. The above quotes were taken outside a Cleveland, courtroom where Scumbag’s bond was set at $3,000,000.00 million dollars for the charge of murdering Daniel Lewis, a 75-year-old wheelchair bound, great-grandfather who was sitting outside his home.

Scumbag’s sisters are very sorry, it was an accident their brother is a good boy who meant no harm. He didn’t intend to kill an innocent 75 year-old grandfather, he was only trying to kill a rival drug dealer.

A Seventy-Five year old man, who just wanted to enjoy a nice Summer afternoon in his neighborhood, the place he had lived for almost 40 years, is now dead because Scumbag while riding around in his buddy’s car saw someone he has a beef with and decided to try and kill him.

I’m not a big fan of Cleveland’s mayor Frank Jackson, he’s has proven that he is nothing more then your average brain dead liberal democrat politician, I just hope that this latest senseless murder in a once great city has finally woken the mayor up.

It’s about time that Cleveland officials crack down and crack down hard on this type of violence in our city, and not by trying to get guns off the streets, but by cracking down hard on worthless pieces of shit like Scumbag, Eric Carson a man who shouldn’t have even been on the streets of Cleveland after having an arrest sheet with 24 separate incidents on it.

If this asshole does not get the lethal injection, there is truly no justice in the Ohio legal system.

New Study Shows That U.S. Job Creators Are The Biggest Taxed In The World

March 21, 2008 by Joe

Earlier I wrote about Senator George Voinovich of my home state of Ohio and how at a speech the other day he all but called out for raising taxes. I don’t know if Se. Voinovich has been really looking around the State which we both call home, because if he did he would notice that job providers are packing up and leaving at an alarmingly high rate.

Now comes news that a study, which really did not need to be commissioned because anybody with half a brain could figure it out, shows that U.S. job providers are the highest taxed bunch in the entire world.

WASHINGTON, Mar 18, 2008 - A new study from the Tax Foundation, a nonpartisan tax research group in Washington, shows that most American states tax job providers at a higher rate than any other country in the developed world.

“This is startling news for America’s businesses and workers,” said Tax Foundation president Scott Hodge, the study’s author. “Tax competition for jobs and investment is fierce, and the U.S. continues to fall further and further behind. Our states should be the world’s leaders in many things, but high taxation should not be one of them. The high federal corporate tax rate is literally crushing states’ competitive abilities. That means fewer jobs for American workers.”

Counting the federal rate alone, the U.S. has the world’s highest corporate tax rate, but including average sub-national rates (federal plus state in the U.S.), Japan edges out the U.S. for the highest-tax location (see table).

This new study breaks the tax down state-by-state, adding each state’s corporate tax rate to the federal corporate tax rate.  The results show that 24 states impose, when combined with the federal rate, a higher business tax rate than in any other nation. In fact:

  • 24 states have a combined corporate tax rate higher than top-ranked Japan.
  • 32 states have a combined corporate tax rate higher than third-ranked Germany.
  • 46 states have a combined corporate tax rate higher than fourth-ranked Canada.
  • All 50 states have a combined corporate tax rate higher than fifth-ranked France.

Yet people still wonder why U.S. companies are folding shop and sending jobs outside the country. Because the people who provide these jobs are being taxed at ridiculous levels and they are only going to get worse if Hillary or Obama get into the White House and alongside a Democrat controlled congress raise taxes even more to pay for all the government programs they are proposing.

Even Canada does not place as high of a tax burden on job providers as what is placed here in Canada. In 2003 Ireland set their corporate tax rate to 12.5% which is a whole 22 percentage points lower then the lowest taxed U.S. State and almost 30 percentage points lower then the highest taxed U.S. State. The economy in Ireland is booming and that country has seen unprecedented growth in the past few years.

Ireland adopted its 12.5 percent corporate tax rate on January 1, 2003. “When Ireland introduced its rate, the government looked at making it effective for 25 years,” Reck said. However, this would likely have generated some controversy with Ireland’s relationship with its European Union member countries. Reck spoke during a webcast hosted by Deloitte Touche, LLP.

Combined with lower levels of government spending, the tax changes have jump-started an economic miracle in Ireland: once one of the poorer countries in Western Europe, it now boasts the highest per capita GDP on the continent. Moreover, the influx of young educated professionals looking to take part in the Irish resurgence has also made the country’s population one of the youngest in the Western world.

Reck said there are no proposals in Ireland now to change the 12.5 percent rate. “At a political level, there is a consensus that it will remain unchanged for the near future.”

Reck explained that Ireland’s 12.5 percent corporate tax rate has benefited a variety of taxpayers and has led to high job growth. Manufacturing, especially in the pharmaceutical sector, has been attracted to Ireland because of its lower corporate tax rate.

The solutions to our economic woes, which I still don’t believe are as bad as the media is telling us they are, are quite simple. 1) lower the tax burden on job providers,2) lower the tax burden on everyone else, 3) end earmarks and 4) cut wasteful government spending in programs the Federal Government has no business being involved in such as Welfare, the Arts, Urban Development, and a whole host of others.

The more people continue to cry and moan that Corporations make to much and rich people are not taxed enough, the more and more taxes are going to go even higher and job providers are going to leave even faster and then the economy is really going to go to shit.

Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Looking Into Prosecuting For Thoughtcrimes

March 21, 2008 by Joe

Now while I am not a big fan of Rush Limbaugh’s “Operation Chaos,” and as a matter-of-fact think that it is a juvenile tactic that Democrats do have the right to criticize — but not that much because it is crossover Democrats and moderates that helped propel McCain to the nomination — I think what the Democrat controlled Cuyahoga County Board of Elections is doing is absolutely ridiculous.

This comes via my local bird cage liner, the Plain Dealer:

The Cuyahoga County Board of Elections has launched an investigation that could lead to criminal charges against voters who maliciously switched parties for the March 4 presidential primary.

Elections workers will look for evidence that voters lied when they signed affidavits pledging allegiance to their new party. And at least one board member, Sandy McNair, a Democrat, wants the county prosecutor to review the findings.

But it remained unclear Wednesday whether the four-member board will agree to pursue prosecution. A 2-2 vote would mean that Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner, a Democrat, would have to break the tie.

The investigation comes 10 days after The Plain Dealer reported that more than 16,000 Cuyahoga County Republicans changed parties before voting March 4.

While once again, even though Democrats have screwed with the Republican Party’s nominating process in helping to get McCain nominated — that is no reason for Republicans to get them back, by doing the same thing — its juvenile and the type of tactic that we should leave the Democrats to use.

But to attempt to prosecute Republicans for declaring themselves as Democrats, just to vote for Hillary — irregardless of the fact if they had malicious intent in doing so is down right asinine, and a huge waste of tax payer money.

How come you never hear Democrats wanting to prosecute illegal aliens who have voted or to look into all the mysterious dead people who always seem to be voting — oh wait that’s right because even though those groups may have malicious intention in mind when committing voter fraud, it’s okay because that malicious intent is directed at Republicans.

With Republicans Like These, Who Needs Democrats?

March 20, 2008 by Joe

More and more each week the former mayor of my hometown, former Governor of my home State and current Senior Senator from my home State, George Voinovich gives me reason to dislike him. This week while speaking before a regional planning forum in Columbus, the Senator pretty much called out for increasing the already high tax burden on the American people.

“We’re going to have to raise more money in this country. Did you hear me? We’re going to have to increase taxes in order to do the job,” Sen. Voinovich said. “Anyone that tells you that’s not the case isn’t being truthful with you. They’re not being intellectually honest with you.”

And Republicans wonder why they are losing elections and Conservatives are turning their backs on them. Seriously where have all the true Conservatives in the Republican party gone? You know the people who know wholeheartedly that the only way to achieve true economic growth — is not by the government taking more of our money, but by reducing its size and taking less of it.

Super Tuesday 2008 Part 2: The Electric Boogaloo

March 4, 2008 by Joe

Well it is Super Tuesday 2008: part 2, I will be finally getting the chance to vote in my State’s primary election today — unfortunately since Fred Thompson and later Mitt Romney have dropped out of the race I am left with the choice of the populist preacher, the GOP’s very own version of Jimmy Carter or the Democrat’s favorite Republican, John McCain.

Rush thinks that people left in my position should vote for Hillary. Sorry, its not going to happen, the only way I would vote for a Democrat is if I actually wanted that Democrat to become our next President. I understand Rush’s reasoning, the more chaos in the Democratic nominating process, and the longer this drags out — the better for the GOP, especially since it looks like McCain has run out of money until at least September.

Like it or not McCain is the GOP’s nomination no matter what the Huckster says or does and despite the fact that I disagree with the Arizona Senator on a whole host of issues, I know that while he is no Conservative and is barely a Republican he would be an far, far better Commander-in-Chief then either Hillary or Obama, thus he will have my vote in November.

I just haven’t decided yet if he’ll have my vote today.

I originally supported Fred Thompson, as a matter of fact he is the first candidate who ever inspired me enough to donate money to his campaign, seeing as even though he has technically dropped out of the race though has failed to formalize his withdrawal by sending a written notice to the Ohio Secretary of State’s Office — a write in vote for Fred Thompson will still count as a vote for Fred Thompson.

I won’t be an idiot like some so-called Conservatives and write in another candidate come the General election in November, I’ll hold my nose and vote McCain then because I am a Conservative and Conservative principles simply will not let me sit by and actively help put an extreme left leaning democrat in the White House.

As far as Rush’s point about creating chaos in the Democratic party, I don’t think that they need Republicans to play any shenanigans to do that — despite the fact that it seems all-but-certain that Barrack Hussein Obama is the apparent Democratic Party nominee — one must never count out the Clintons. They will never, ever give up. Hillary will do her best to get the Michigan and Florida delegates seated and get the super delegates to swing her way, even if it means destroying the Democratic party in the process — because for the Clintons it is not about Party, its not about values and its certainly not about country — its about power.

No matter what the results are when the day is through, I just do not see Hillary giving up — she will go all the way to the convention. It has already been an odd election cycle and one for the ages, I anticipate that the summer and the last few months before November will give us a whole hell of a lot more surprises.

Radical Imam Exposed By Ohio Bloggers, Local MSM Left Puzzled

October 30, 2007 by Joe

Lets all play a game of who said this. I’ll give four options and then a quote and you all try to guess which one of the four options said that.

Let’s start, here our your four options:

1. A Catholic Priest
2. A Jewish Rabbi
3. A Buddhist Spiritual Leader
4. A Muslim Imam

“The hour of judgment shall not happen until the Muslims fight the Jews. The Muslims shall kill the Jews to the point that the Jew shall hide behind a big rock or a tree and the rock or tree shall call on the Muslim saying: hey, O Muslim there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him, except the Gharqad tree which will not say, for it is the tree of Jews. Agreed upon.”

All right then now that we have our four options and have read the quote, lets see how we did, shall we?

If You guessed any of options 1-3, you are an idiot — or a misguided liberal. If you guessed option 4, congratulations you know how to spot Islamofascism when you see it. The quote above can be attributed to a radical Imam, particularly Ahmed Alzaree who at the time of making that quote during a sermon was the spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of Omaha.

My hometown bird cage liner, the Cleveland Plain Dealer has a hard time figuring out however, why Alzaree has decided to resign as spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of Cleveland before he even starts.

From David Briggs of the Plain Dealer:

Imam Ahmed Alzaree announced Monday, three days before he was to start work as the spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of Cleveland, that he was resigning.

Alzaree said allegations by bloggers that he was anti-Semitic and was associated with individuals suspected of having terrorist ties so poisoned the atmosphere in Northeast Ohio that he and his wife, Marwa, decided to look elsewhere.

“Cleveland now is a nightmare for her,” Alzaree said. “It will never be a good start for me and the Jewish community.

The mosque has accepted Alzaree’s resignation, Zahid Siddiqi, general secretary of the mosque’s executive committee, said Monday afternoon.

“We certainly don’t want to impose on him and his family,” Siddiqi said.

Alzaree is the former spiritual leader of the Islamic Center of Omaha.

Let’s see now maybe if the Plain Dealer was an actual honest to goodness bastion of journalistic integrity, and not the agenda driven hack of a news rag that they are — this reporter might have you know, done his job and researched both sides of this story instead of just hacking it up to “allegations” by bloggers. Then they would know exactly why Alzaree is leaving Cleveland with his tail between his legs, before he even had a chance to unzip his suitcases.

As I had already mentioned above, the above quote was given in a sermon by Alzaree in March of 2003. A transcript of it was then put online by the Islamic Center of Omaha, but was subsequently taken down. However thanks to the wonders of the Wayback Machine, the transcript has been preserved forever in the Internet Archives. It was discovered by one of those “bloggers,” Tom of BizzyBlog, who have driven out Alzaree with their “allegations.” Click here to see the archived transcript. Click here for even more detailed information about this radical Imam by Pat at Ohioans Against Terrorism.

Good job Plain Dealer, way to investigate a story. With journalistic integrity and reporting like that, the only bright spot you’ll have left is that the cost of your paper is still cheaper then the bird cage liners they sell in pet stores.

To those two Ohio bloggers who did the Main Stream Medias job and reported what they should have been reporting to the public, thank you for exposing another radical Islamist Imam and keeping that scum bag out of my hometown.
