Douchebag Of The Week: John Wiley Price

Now this may sound like a satirical story from a source such as the Onion, but in fact it is an actual event that happened during a county meeting this past Monday afternoon.
Via the Dallas Morning News’s City Hall Blog:
A special meeting about Dallas County traffic tickets turned tense and bizarre this afternoon.
County commissioners were discussing problems with the central collections office that is used to process traffic ticket payments and handle other paperwork normally done by the JP Courts.
Commissioner Kenneth Mayfield, who is white, said it seemed that central collections “has become a black hole” because paperwork reportedly has become lost in the office.
Commissioner John Wiley Price, who is black, interrupted him with a loud “Excuse me!” He then corrected his colleague, saying the office has become a “white hole.”
That prompted Judge Thomas Jones, who is black, to demand an apology from Mayfield for his racially insensitive analogy.
Mayfield shot back that it was a figure of speech and a science term. A black hole, according to Webster’s, is perhaps “the invisible remains of a collapsed star, with an intense gravitational field from which neither light nor matter can escape.”
Other county officials quickly interceded to break it up and get the meeting back on track. TV news cameras were rolling, after all.
Wow. I’m not from Dallas so I’m not familiar with the political workings of the area, so I’m not sure if this Price guy is just a total moron, or just a race-baiter. In either case because of his extreme case of douchebaggery he has won the award as this week’s Rightwingrebel.com Douchebag of the week.

did anyone explain to these blacks what a black hole is?
they probably have been using the term for years not realizing what the meaning has to the rest of the planet.
John Wiley Price is a black A-Hole. He always has been and always will be.
The absurdness of the “racial card” seems to have no limits. How long must society curtsey to one demographic; what about the political incorrectness that occurs to the other demographics? Or is this the unspoken punishment we must all endure for an injustice that occured before many of our lifetimes? And at what point does this punishment end? Perhaps it would be best if we all played the quiet game permanently; since we are obviously being insensitive to those who are mute by flagrantly showing off our ability to verbally communicate (and unfortunately, some more than others).
What an idiot. How the hell did he ever get into office in the first place. He’s probably too ignorant to know what a black hole is. To these people, everything is about race. Laughing hysterically… and they call US racists.
This arrogant sob needs to come to my area for a day and go fishing with me. I will show him what a real black hole is like. I am disgusted, mad and ready for war with these left wing marxist believers.

Did this guy ever go to science class? I’m offended that he is offended by this scientific term. And embarrassed that he speaks for other black citizens.I doubt seriously that they think this is a derogatory term.
