I’ve Filled up the Red Truck

I have finally done it. I’ve put my money where my proverbial mouth is — or in my case where my heart is — and for the first time in my adult life, I have made a monetary contribution to a political candidate or cause. I have made a donation to the campaign of Fred Thompson.

For the first time since I have been of voting age, have I found a candidate that truly inspires me and gives me hope that the movement started by Mr. Conservative Barry Goldwater in the 1960’s and culminated when we as a nation, elected the next man to hold the title of Mr. Conservative, Ronald Reagan — is still strong and flourishing.

Fred Dalton Thompson is the only man currently seeking our faith in him to hold the office of President of The United States who has the right to now claim the mantle of the new, Mr. Conservative.

I urge everyone who wants to see a return to the principles of our founding fathers and truly believes that the answers to all that ails us as a nation are the core, proven and time-tested truths of self-governance, free markets, and the rule of law — to follow my lead and donate to the Fred Thompson campaign.
