Something wrong with the world today.

There’s something wrong with the world today
I don’t know what it is
Something’s wrong with our eyes

We’re seeing things in a different way
And God knows it ain’t His
It sure ain’t no surprise
- Aerosmith ‘Livin on the Edge’

Sometimes when I see the news, that song pops into my head and that’s really what happened with this next story. Below you’ll find a picture of five-year-old Hannah Edwards of England. Can you find anything wrong with it?

Hannah Edwards, age 5.

It certainly seems like an innocent enough looking picture.

Hannah’s family was planning a vacation to the South of France and the above photograph was taken at a photo booth at their local post office. When they submitted the photograph along with the necessary paperwork so that they could renew little Hannah’s passport, it was rejected.

The woman working the counter at the post-office informed Hannah’s mother that the exposed skin on innocent five-year-old Hannah Edwards may be found offensive in a Muslim country.

Little Hannah’s mother was later apologized to by a spokesperson for the Identity and Passport Service, who said it was not their policy to reject such photographs and passed the blame to the person working at the counter.

What kind of society are we living in when this even becomes an issue, this over sensitivity has got to stop.
