George Bush - Right Wing Extremist?

May 31, 2006 by Joe

Al “Chicken Little” Gore, while promoting his ‘the end is near’ documentary An Inconvenient Truth was interviewed by the British Newspaper The Guardian. He described the Bush White House as “a renegade band of rightwing extremists.”

While I still stand behind my decision to vote for W, as he was the best possible choice out there to chose from. He is far, far from a “rightwing extremist” he’s not even a true conservative, at least not a conservative in the mold of Ronald Reagan.

Sure he lowered taxes which is a staple of Conservative thinking, but he failed to do the one thing that needs to go along with that and decrease the size of government and especially government spending. The size of our federal government and the amount of money it spends has grown to proportions that the Clinton/Gore White House only dreamed of.

Sorry Al, Bush isn’t a “rightwing extremist” you’ve just grown into a giant Lefty crybaby since 2000.

My new truck

May 15, 2006 by Joe

I missed the President’s speech on Immigration tonight as I was doing my part as an evil conservative to ruin the planet, by spending my night at my local Chevy Dealership and purchasing a brand new Silverado 4X4. I think this Vortec 4800 V8 motor is going to use up a whole lot more fuel then the 2.4L 4 Cylinder Toyota I traded in did. Add that alongside the payment, and it looks like I will be forced to spend a few extra nights at home instead of out on the town. At least I’ll have the big truck I always wanted.

I didn’t even bother to read up on Bush’s speech and the aftereffects, I already gather it was too little. Unfortunately, President Bush has already shown that he is unwilling to do what needs to be done, with the illegal immigration situation.

I’m off to watch 24 now, I Tivo’d that.

Traitorous acts

May 11, 2006 by Joe

A few days back I got an email forwarded to me from a friend (who just so happens to be a poor misguided liberal, but even he gets it. The American people are overwhelmingly against illegal immigration and want something done about it, but both parties democrats and republicans refuse to do anything about it.

If the fact that our elected officials refuse to see that we want them to do something to stop the run of illegals crossing over into our country, now comes the news that the U.S. government has been giving Mexico information on the activities of American citizens. This news is downright reprehensible. The Minutemen are a great group of American citizens who are fully operating within the law, doing something that our elected officials refuse to do. If the reports of our government giving intel to Mexico on the whereabouts of the Minutemen are true and if it were given the o.k. by President Bush, then this would be the first legitimate reason to call for impeachment. Check out Michelle Malkin on vent for a great piece about this story.

Well I figured out what the problem was with getting Wordpress up and running, I had to switch over to Linux servers from Windows. Once that was completed, setting up this blog was a breeze. I transferred over all the material from my blogspot account and am ready to go.I probably should have thought this whole blogging thing over a little more I suppose, but it’s too late the web address and hosting are paid for so I guess I should do something with it.

I was at the grocery store tonight and I finally did something that apparently 40 million other people have done before me, and pick up a copy of Dan Brown’s “The Da Vinci Code.” I figured the movie looked pretty good and that maybe I should read the book before I see the movie. Or maybe I should do the opposite and read the book after I see the movie, I dunno.

I’m not going to start reading it tonight though, Lost is on and I can’t miss that.

I’ll see if I don’t start posting here more often and like now that the site is set up.
