Happy Birthday America!

July 3, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

Happy 4th of July to all 2 or three of you readers of this blog, and to everyone else who may stumble across it. And a very Happy Birthday to the greatest country on God’s green earth, America — a country which is so awesome that even having a scumbag commie President like Obama, isn’t enough to make it anything less then awesome.

Photobucket

I’m going down to southern Ohio for the weekend to ride my four wheeler, drink some beers and blow stuff up. Have a safe and happy holiday everyone.

Here’s some Iced Earth…

Douchebag of the Week: Judge James Burge

June 18, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

Its been a while since I’ve really posted anything at all on my site, yet alone inducted another dishonored into the Right Wing Rebel Douchebag of the Week Hall of Shame, but the scumbag piece of shit who is getting the title this week angered me so much with his actiuons and words that I just had to post my thoughts.

Ohio Judge James Burge sitting in front of his heroes

Ohio Judge James Burge sitting in front of his heroes

This weeks Douchebag of the Week is Lorain County, Ohio Common Pleas Judge James Burge — a scumbag, ultra-liberal former defense attorney who still acts as such even though he is now behind the Judge’s bench as opposed to arguing cases in front of it.

The 61 year old liberal piece of shit, who has framed posters of Barack Obama and Che Guevara side by side in his office, made some ridiculous statements earlier this week while giving the minimum possible sentence allowed by Ohio law to a punk kid who murdered his own mother and attempted to murder his father — for making him stop playing a video game.

On October 20, 2007, Daniel Petric, now 17 years old, got very upset when his parents took away his Halo 3 game from him. In retaliation for that act, he gathered his unsuspecting parents in the living room and told them that he had a surprise for them and that they should shut their eyes. That’s when he pulled out his father’s gun and began shooting.

His mother was killed and his father just managed to survive.

At the trial, Mark Petric testified that his son came into the room and asked his parents: “Would you guys close your eyes? I have a surprise for you.”

The father testified that he expected a pleasant surprise. Then his head went numb from a gunshot.

His wife, Susan, 43, died of a gunshot wound to the head.

The prosecution said Daniel Petric then tried to make the shootings look like a murder and attempted suicide. He shoved the gun into his father’s hand and said, “Hey Dad, here’s your gun. Take it,” Mark Petric testified.

From the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram:

When Burge found Daniel guilty in January, he said he would have found the boy not guilty by reason of insanity if the law would have allowed him to do so. He said again Tuesday that he believed violent video games led Daniel to shoot his parents.

“I feel confident that if there were no such thing as violent video games, I wouldn’t know Daniel Petric,” Burge said before imposing his sentence.

Burge also complained that the state legislature had made it impossible for Daniel to be tried as a juvenile instead of as an adult and railed against radio talk show hosts who he said inflamed issues such as this. He said he didn’t know why politicians took such a hard-line stance on juvenile offenders.

“Intellectual cowardice, moral bankruptcy, but that would just be speculation,” he said.

The Petric family declined comment through court officials after the hearing, but John Otero Jr., who served as Daniel’s legal adviser throughout the case, said they were as happy as could be expected at Burge’s decision.

This scumbag fucking asshole of a Judge actually wanted to find the scumbag murdering piece of trash “not guilty.” But then again what would you expect from a piece of shit who has a poster of murdering thug Che Guevara hanging in his office. I live two counties east of Lorain and I feel ashamed to have this asshole as a Judge in my State, the citizens of Lorain County Ohio should be ashamed of themselves for actually electing a morally bankrupt scumbag asshole, who accuses others of being what he is, like James Burge to public office.

As far as Daniel Petric goes, he got off lucky, he should be rotting in a cell his whole life — but he will get out still relatively young just before he turns 40 years old.

Courageous Iranian Youth Stand up to Tyranny and Support Liberty

June 16, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

(AP photo/Vahid Salemi)

I don’t always agree with Robert Fisk’s opinions on matters, particularly to some of his critiques on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East — but there is no doubt that he is one of, if not the very best foreign correspondent out there. American journalists could learn a whole lot, from their British Counterpart Mr. Fisk.

He is in Iran covering the protests that have unfolded after the disputed election results, and rather then “report” on the news from the safety of a hotel room, he was actually out on the streets with the Iranian youth..

He wrote an excellent piece in yesterdays, The Independent, here is a portion of it:

It was Iran’s day of destiny and day of courage. A million of its people marched from Engelob Square to Azadi Square – from the Square of Revolution to the Square of Freedom – beneath the eyes of Tehran’s brutal riot police. The crowds were singing and shouting and laughing and abusing their “President” as “dust”.

Mirhossein Mousavi was among them, riding atop a car amid the exhaust smoke and heat, unsmiling, stunned, unaware that so epic a demonstration could blossom amid the hopelessness of Iran’s post-election bloodshed. He may have officially lost last Friday’s election, but yesterday was his electoral victory parade through the streets of his capital. It ended, inevitably, in gunfire and blood.

Not since the 1979 Iranian Revolution have massed protesters gathered in such numbers, or with such overwhelming popularity, through the boulevards of this torrid, despairing city. They jostled and pushed and crowded through narrow lanes to reach the main highway and then found riot police in steel helmets and batons lined on each side. The people ignored them all. And the cops, horribly outnumbered by these tens of thousands, smiled sheepishly and – to our astonishment – nodded their heads towards the men and women demanding freedom. Who would have believed the government had banned this march?

The protesters’ bravery was all the more staggering because many had already learned of the savage killing of five Iranians on the campus of Tehran University, done to death – according to students – by pistol-firing Basiji militiamen. When I reached the gates of the college yesterday morning, many students were weeping behind the iron fence of the campus, shouting “massacre” and throwing a black cloth across the mesh. That was when the riot police returned and charged into the university grounds once more.

At times, Mousavi’s victory march threatened to crush us amid walls of chanting men and women. They fell into the storm drains and stumbled over broken trees and tried to keep pace with his vehicle, vast streamers of green linen strung out in front of their political leader’s car. They sang in unison, over and over, the same words: “Tanks, guns, Basiji, you have no effect now.” As the government’s helicopters roared overhead, these thousands looked upwards and bayed above the clatter of rotor blades: “Where is my vote?” Clichés come easily during such titanic days, but this was truly a historic moment.

Would it change the arrogance of power which Mahmoud Ahmadinejad demonstrated so rashly just a day earlier, when he loftily invited the opposition – there were reported to be huge crowds protesting on the streets of other Iranian cities yesterday – to be his “friends”, while talking ominously of the “red light” through which Mousavi had driven. Ahmadinejad claimed a 66 per cent victory at the polls, giving Mousavi scarcely 33 per cent. No wonder the crowds yesterday were also singing – and I mean actually singing in chorus – “They have stolen our vote and now they are using it against us.” READ THE REST OF THE ARTICLE HERE

I think it is our duty as Americans, as lovers of liberty and freedom to support the youth of Iran and Democracy in Iran. I just haven’t seen anything yet from the Obama administration that shows they even have the vaguest idea of what to do.

A poster at the Free Republic summed up Obama’s lack of a backbone and empty rhetoric spewed during his Mid East trip last week, rather nicely:

Supposedly, young people in Iran were inspired by Obama’s Cairo speech. Where is Obama now, when the government is shooting protesters?

Today could have been Obama’s ‘Tear Down This Wall’ moment. He could have offered his support to the courageous Iranians in the streets tonight. He could have recognized those protesters for what they are – fighters in the name of freedom. These kids already respected him and would have been inspired. Instead, his speech was lame and non-committal.

I’m not one of these conservatives who believes liberals are traitors. My problem with liberals is they lack the backbone to stand up against tyranny. It happened during the Cold War and again during the War on Terror..or as Obama now calls it, Man-made disasters. Their political correctness, whether expressed in caution or silence, does not make for effective leadership.

I remember so vividly when Reagan call the Soviet Union the Evil Empire. Liberals cringed, they cried foul. But cut beyond the PC crap and one thing is clear: Reagan was right. And I’ll give George W. Bush credit too. His stand against tyranny was strong whether he was popular or not.

Obama speaks well (teleprompter joke here). But tonight was strong evidence that there’s nothing behind his words. Too many Iranians learned that the hard way tonight.

I’m no longer a Chevy Guy

June 2, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

I’m not in the market for a new vehicle, I have been driving my Chevy Silverado now for a little over 3 years and have been very happy with it. Though I can say now that my Silverado will be the very last GM vehicle that I will ever own. When the time does come for me to buy a new truck it will either be a Ford F-150 or a Nissan Titan which while is a Japanese brand is a American Made car. Whereas the Silverado I currently own has a body assembled in Mexico and an engine assembled in Canada.

What our Dictator in Chief Barack Obama has done today to the U.S. Auto Industry is drive the nail into the coffin of Detroit.

My Friend Luke has his thoughts on the GM fiasco here .

Immigrant in Texas finds Old Glory “Offensive,” Supervisor takes Flag down

May 27, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

It is stories like this one that make me sick to my stomach.

MANSFIELD (CBS 11 News) ― Is it okay to show your patriotism at the office?

For one Arlington woman, the answer was “no” after she hung an American flag in her office just before the Memorial Day weekend.

Debbie McLucas is one of four hospital supervisors at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield. Last week, she hung a three-by-five foot American flag in the office she shares with the other supervisors.

When McLucas came to work Friday, her boss told her another supervisor had found her flag offensive. “I was just totally speechless. I was like, ‘You’re kidding me,’” McLucas said.

McLucas’ husband and sons are former military men. Her daughter is currently serving in Iraq as a combat medic.

Stifling a cry, McLucas said, “I just wonder if all those young men and women over there are really doing this for nothing.”

McLucas said the supervisor who complained has been in the United States for 14 years and is formerly from Africa. McLucas said that supervisor took down the flag herself.

Because of the attention this story has received, earlier today Kindred Healthcare posted a Press Release on their website, where they back away from the story and invite Mrs. McLucas to place the flag back up, claiming that the argument was over “the size” of the flag.

Yeah, whatever. Kudos to Kindred Healthcare’s Corporate Office for letting her put the Flag back up, but a big FUCK YOU to the jackass who took it down and an even bigger FUCK YOU, to the scumbag who lives in this country and has the fucking audacity to call Old Glory offensive.

Obama picks Sonia Sotomayor to Legislate from the bench

May 27, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

The so called fair and impartial mainstream media are kicking into overdrive their hype over Barack Obama’s nomination to the SCOTUS, Circuit Judge of the U. S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, Sonia Sotomayor. The word “historic” is being used over and over again to describe the nomination of Sotomayor, who once confirmed by the Senate would be only the third woman to serve on the Court and first of Hispanic origin.

WASHINGTON – Reaching for history, President Barack Obama on Tuesday chose federal appeals judge Sonia Sotomayor to be the first Hispanic justice on the Supreme Court, championing her as a compassionate, seasoned jurist whose against-the-odds life journey affirms the American dream. Republicans who will decide whether to make a fight of her confirmation said they want thorough hearings.

However, defeating Sotomayor would be difficult in the heavily Democratic Senate, and even a major effort to block her confirmation could be risky for a party still reeling from last year’s elections. Hispanics are the fastest-growing part of the population and increasingly active politically.

Obama, eager to begin putting his imprint on the court, beamed as he introduced Sotomayor as a judge who displays both an impressive mind and heart, a jurist who takes on cases with “an understanding of how the world works and how ordinary people live.”

Sotomayer’s story is indeed an inspirational one, there is no denying that. Born and raised in South Bronx, she lost her father at age nine and grew up with her mother and younger brother in public housing. A year before her father passed away, at age eight, she was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Despite all her setbacks in life, she lifted herself out of poverty, graduating summa cum laude from Princeton and going on to receive her Juris Doctor from Yale. Eventually being named to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York by George H.W Bush and then named to her current position by Bill Clinton.

Sotomayer’s story is quintessentially an American one. Her story shows that with enough hard work and determination anybody can do what they set their mind to do, thanks to the American way.

The question is, once nominated — which will undoubtedly happen because the Democratic control of the Senate is just too much to overcome — will she decide over cases based on Constitutional principles, or will she attempt to play an activist role and legislate from the bench? The answer is probably the latter.

Here is a vide of Sotamayer where she pretty much admits her belief that the role of the judiciary is not to interpret the law as our founding father’s intended, but to actually make policy decisions.

Once confirmed to the court Sotomayor will be replacing Justice David Souter, whom pretty much is a liberal himself, so the balance will not really shift all too much. And yes it will be impossible to block her confirmation, but the Republicans in the Senate — if they have any balls — need to fight this nomination as hard as they can, even if they risk being blasted by Democrats and their cheerleaders in the Mainstream media as being “racists,” the American People need to know exactly what kind of judged Obama will appoint as he will probably end up appointing at least one more if not two Justices to the SCOTUS before his time in office is up.

And as far as the “race card goes,” Democrats blocked Miguel Estrada from being confirmed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, simply because he was a “Latino.”

November 7, 2001/To: Senator Durbin
“The groups singled out three–Jeffrey Sutton (6th Circuit); Priscilla Owen (5th Circuit); and Caroline [sic] Kuhl (9th Circuit)–as a potential nominee for a contentious hearing early next year, with a [sic] eye to voting him or her down in Committee. They also identified Miguel Estrada (D.C. Circuit) as especially dangerous, because he has a minimal paper trail, he is Latino, and the White House seems to be grooming him for a Supreme Court appointment. They want to hold Estrada off as long as possible.”

You see appointing a minority to a key position is only “historic” when liberals do it.

Pennies – Obama’s budget cuts

April 29, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

Barack Obama, trying to make himself sound like he’s really interested in slashing the Federal Budget, made the claim that he and his cabinet will look to find $100,000,000.00 to slash from the Federal budget.

What his public relations department, I mean the main stream American media, won’t tell you is that in this day and age of massive amounts of government spending and multi trillion dollar bailouts — 100 million dollars is chump change.

This video explains it perfectly.

Good Bye and Good Riddance

April 29, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

I have a co-worker, whom for the past few months I have been mockingly calling “comrade,” for his unwavering support of Barack Obama. Really, great guy (my co-worker, not Obama) just very misguided in his support Obama. Today when I come in to work, I get treated with a snide little, “ha, one of ’your guys,’ changed sides.”

That one really stung, he was referring of course to Pennsylvania Sen. Arlen Specter’s decision to leave the GOP and caucus with the Democrats, and seek re-election in 2010 as a Democrat.

It did not sting, because as my co-worker put it, one of ’my guys’ changed sides. It stung because somebody would actually consider Arlen Specter one of, ’my guys.’ I’ve obviously have not done enough to inform those around me of my core beliefs.

I am ecstatic that Arlen Specter finally decided to reflect the way he has voted, and the agenda he has pushed for the greater part of his Senatorial career and change the misplaced (R) designation at the end of his name, and replace it with a (D) which should have been there all along.

The only thing upsetting to me about Arlen Specter leaving the GOP was the fact that he did not take Sens. Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe with him.

Arlen Specter, is not, and never was a principled Conservative Republican. He is the type of wishy, washy, only in it for himself scumbag politician hat has gotten the GOP into the mess that it is in these days.

To Arlen Specter I say good by, and good riddance.

Obama’s Crown of Thorns

April 25, 2009 by Joecephus · Comments

It seems that the worship of our 44th President knows no boundaries.

From the PR Newswire:

NEW YORK, April 24 /PRNewswire/ — Michael D’Antuono may raise more questions than answers when he unveils his highly controversial new painting, “The Truth” on the South Plaza of NYC’s Union Square on the 100th day of Barack Obama’s presidency. The artist’s politically-, religiously- and socially-charged statement on our nation’s current political climate and deep partisan divide has been privately raising eyebrows (and voices) since its creation.

The 30″ x 54″ acrylic painting on canvas depicts President Obama appearing much like Jesus Christ on the Cross; atop his head, a crown of thorns. Behind him, the dark veil being lifted (or lowered) on the Presidential Seal. But is he revealing or concealing and is he being crucified or glorified?

D’Antuono insists that this piece is a mirror; reflecting the personal opinions and emotions of the viewer; that “The Truth” like beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. D’Antuono expects that individual interpretations will vary as widely as they do in the political arena. The work will be seen by one viewer at a time behind a voting booth-inspired public installation.

Until now, Mr. D’Antuono has chosen to paint purely non-political subject matter, opting instead for iconic celebrity portraits and hard-luck romantic narratives. However, now the artist feels the need to make a statement. “Aided by the media, politics has taken a nasty turn in the last decade and I firmly believe that this is one of the underlying causes of our nation’s current problems,” says D’Antuono.

“The Truth” will be on exhibit on Wednesday, April 29, 2009 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on the South Plaza of Union Square Park at 14th Street in New York City.

Obama's Messiah complex in full force

Obama's Messiah complex in full force

Ah yes, the messiah, the one and only true son of God, our Lord and savior, the bringer of hope and of change, Barack Obama is wearing the crown of thorns and nailed upon his proverbial cross, in this case the office of the Presidency.

He is doing this for us, because he is the messiah, and he loves us.
